And what an oyster it was.

While foodstuffs were scarce in the warehouse plenty of reckless employees forgot their cans of energy drinks, half eaten breakfasts and everything in between. It was a veritable problem, but a problem you simply couldn’t halt with the amount of staff Johanna employed.

Among the Pokémon that found their way into the Warehouse was a group of Koffing in a variety of sizes.

The moment the box they had hid in opened they spewed noxious gasses into the air sending the unsuspecting workers there into a frantic run out of the warehouse. Loud cries of surprise and bafflement would alert those walking nearby of the warehouse to the commotion.

Meanwhile the group of Koffing would start rummaging the place for anything edible.

The foul STENCH was spreading quickly as the group of Koffing was ransacking the warehouse.

A singular Koffing found its unfortunate way outside. Like it’s compatriots it was befouling the air with its STENCH. But not for long.

Just as Isaac found his way to the unfortunate situation, he would be able to gaze upon a spectacle mostly seen in the arena.

Sand rushed over the ground, each grain moving as if it was an individual rushing toward a target as part of a huge singular army. The sand reached into the air, latched onto the floating ball of foul odour and dragged it down.

The Koffing struggled as much as it could, but found itself incapable of getting away. By the time Johanna arrived the Koffing was more or less covered.

“Well done, Hughleikr.” Johanna spoke appreciatively as she came into Isaacs view, dressed more modestly in a t-shirt and pants adorning the theme parks logo and mascot. She was on managerial duties today.

The sand-ghost gave its trainer a sandy thumbs-up.

It took her far too long to notice the young man’s presence. But when she did, she would greet him with a surprised smile. “Oh hi Isaac.”

A pang of shyness sent her cheeks blushing when Isaac proclaimed the situation under control with her here.

It was true, but still. Having him say it with such certainty

A certain nod was given as Isaac suggested kicking ass before catching up. She turned her attention to the Pallosand for a moment, but before she could even give it another command Isaac showed just how prepared he was.

Isaac summoned a Corviknight. Within moments a red glow emerged as the Corviknight grew larger and stronger, not unlike Mega Evolution. Satellite birds were sent ahead entering the warehouse currently occupied by poisonous forces, not yet aware of the disturbance outside.

They had been too busy rummaging through the warehouse.

“That’s a nifty trick.” Johanna said, looking at Isaac and his Corviknight, before turning to the Pallosand and saying. “Don’t let them take all the fun!” And off the ghost-of-sand rushed, the grains rushing along the ground into the building. Quickly copy/pasting the previous takedown upon the next Koffing they spotted.

Meanwhile Johanna would move closer to the entrance and peak inside. Given the warehouses enclosed nature, diving headfirst into what could quickly become a poisonous area didn’t seem like a smart idea for her to do.

Their initial takedowns went by with no issues. Koffing after Koffing found itself beneath sand, until they were out of commission, before being handed over to a Ralts.

Had the rest of their battle only been that easy. But as Johanna peeked inside she saw naught but noxious vapors black in color, stretching as far as the eye could see. She had to move away from the opening, as the vapors began to reach for the outsides.

Isaac’s bird took point instead. Looking inside with ease given its steely nature. It took a head count and the number surprised her a lot.

Twenty stomps.

That’s a lot.

Johanna looked to her Pallosand, she doubted it could take that many at once. No, she needed something more.

“Give me a moment.” From her pocket she retrieved a Pokéball. From it a Gengar sprang jovially. No more than a second later the Gengar was clad in energy and evolved into it’s MEGA form.

“I am ready now.” Johanna informed Isaac. Both Pallsoand and Mega Gengar nodded in agreement, the latter ready to apply its Shadow Tag to all of the opponents the moment they would go inside.

Gengar flashed a grin at Isaac, remembering well that one training montage that happened so very long ago.

Johanna accepted Isaac’s offering, and quickly wrapped the algae bandana around her face. In the process hiding her surprise at the sight of the Paradox Pokémon.

Still the pair had a job to focus on. Johanna gave the go-ahead signal and the duo dove into the building. While Isaac took one side, Johanna took the other.

The Koffing there seemed wise enough to realize a Mega-Gengar had just arrived, and tried to float away. But Gengar brought them to a halt, its shadowy power gripping them tight and holding them in place.

Gengar was quick to fire volleys of SHADOW BALL at each Koffing, and Pallosand quickly followed Gengar's lead. The Koffing began to drop like flies.

Pallosand was quick to grab them with its sand, locking them in a sandy prison.

As Johanna saw Isaac’s Pokémon fighting, she realized that two against that many might lead to some unfortunate chances being taken by the Koffing, so she released a bunch of other Pokémon to support them. All of them Ghost Pokémon, all of them diving quickly into the shadows.

And as she thought the Koffing wouldn’t go down without a fight. They intended to explode, to do what their compatriots could not. But they got no further than that as they found their ability to explode DISABLED.

The Shadows of the warehouse began to twist and turn menacingly. The group of Koffing began to call out in fear, just as one spectral COFAGRIGUS hand after the other emerged from one shadow and grabbed some of them, pulling them down, though they tried to fight their fate.

The others were taken by strong powerful fists, as a Dusknoir emerged from another shadow. The wrappings of a Drifblim emerged from a third wrapping a few Koffing in its gentle embrace. The thick burly trunky-arms of a Trevenant from a fourth emerged with a haste unlike its size, grabbing the nearest Koffing, slamming it into the ground and grinding it against the solid surface for a moment.

By the end the ghosts had made this a veritable haunted house of despair and defeat for the Koffing before they all found themselves locked away in the sandy Palossand prison.

The fight came to a surprisingly quick end. Truly the difference between trained and untrained Pokémon was astounding.

Johanna pulled down the make-shift bandana as soon as the fear of poisonous clouds disappeared. Only to regret her choice as Isaac quickly came with a compliment.

Her cheeks reddened, her gaze quickly went to the ground shyly. An old habit, which did not intend to die anytime soon.

“I guess I overdid it a bit.” A mild nervous chuckle escaped her.

Then Isaac came with a statement which caught her off-guard, though it was clearly true.

“Thank you.” What else could she say? It was words that she was so unaccustomed to that she didn’t even have a response at the ready.

And as she stood there a bit awkwardly all the ghastly specters joined with their queen, chuckling at their trainer’s shyness.
